The following ESL classes and Computer courses are usually offered at St. Patrick's Adult School. The pandemic has forced a change in classes available. Please contact St. Patrick's Adult School at 613-594-5773 for the latest information. Because we have continuous enrollment you can you have flexibility as to when you join the class during the school year (subject to the rules and conditions that may be in place at the time). Classes and levels are subject to change. For the latest information please contact Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) levels for each class are indicated for clarity. Our ESL and Computer classes are designed to be practical and enjoyable. They follow the CLB guidelines. Students are encouraged to participate and acquire language and workplace skills that will serve them well in their new life in Canada. Canadian Language Benchmarks are used to determine English language skills in adults living in or visiting Canada. The CLBs describe tasks in listening, speaking, reading and writing at various levels of skill. For more information on Canadian Language Benchmarks go to www.language.ca. All day childminding is available at St. Patrick's Adult School. Children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years may qualify. Age and developmentally appropriate activities are provided. Computer Courses at St. Patrick's Adult School during the regular school year (September to June) include Web Page Design (HTML, Dreamweaver, Photoshop), MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Keyboarding and Introduction to Computers. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at St. Patrick's Adult School during the regular school year (September to June) include all levels of ESL and IELTS.
