Who can join your ESL and Computer classes? |

Permanent Residents of Canada, Convention Refugees, Refugee Claimants and naturalized Canadian Citizens not born in Canada may apply to take our ESL classes. Applicants must also be 18 years of age or over, reside in Ontario and provide proof of residency. |

How do I register for a class? |

If you are a new student or you have not been a student in our system in the last 12 months you can complete a language assessment by contacting the
Ottawa Y-Language Assessment and Referral Centre (Y-LARC). If you do so please advise the assessor that you wish to study at St. Patrick's Adult School. Bring your assessment documents with you when you come to school.

Q | I am an International Student or visitor. How do I register? |

If you are an International Student, diplomat, visitor to Canada or live in Quebec you can register by contacting St. Patrick's Adult School at 613-594-5773. You will be charged fees at non-resident rates. Fees are shown further down on this page. |

Yes you may take classes at one of our schools. You will be charged a fee. |

Visitors are welcome to take English as a Second Language or Computer classes. Some special conditions apply. Your best course of action is to contact St. Patrick's Adult School at 613-594-5773 once you are in Ottawa. The Office will be able to help you with your particular situation. |

Fees for September 2023 to June 2024
Materials Fees
All students pay a materials fee as follows.
- Part Time: $25 per school year
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m OR 12:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m.
- Full Time: $30 per school year
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m AND 12:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m.
Fees for Diplomats, Visitors, holders of Work Permits, International Students and Non-Residents
Visitors, Diplomats, International Students on Student Permit, Work Permit, Out-of-Province Learners
Non-refundable one-time fee of $75 for registration and assessment, plus materials fee [$25 or $30 per school year] plus tuition as described below.
Tuition Fees
- $400 per month for half-day classes or
- $800 per month for all-day classes.
Fees are due at the beginning of each school term and are non-refundable.
You will also be required to provide proof of health insurance before you can start attending classes.
