ESL Grammar and Writing

The goal of the ESL Grammar and Writing course is to allow the learner to gain confidence in their writing skills.

Learners study sentence structure and review grammar at all levels. They have weekly writing opportunities in flash writing, free writing, group writing, collaborative writing, exchanging letters, essay writing plus using pictures and music in and when writing.

The ESL grammar review includes all challenges of morphology and syntax. Morphology topics covered include verbs, verbals, nouns, pronouns, adjectives among many others. Syntax covers verb tenses, types of sentences, direct and indirect speech, run-ons, etc.

Common sentence errors are discussed and corrected by the teacher on a weekly basis.

A wide variety of topics are presented for free and essay writing throughout the semester.
